Week 3 Recap

U of Toronto remains the only team to be free of a loss after week 3. Toronto earned a four game sweep this past weekend with wins vs Queen’s and Ottawa. Toronto, looks ahead to a busy 6-game weekend in week 4, including a match with rival TMU.

Queen’s currently sits in 2nd place in the East, leading Ottawa by one game. In week 4 these two teams will play each other four consecutive times, which should if one side can take the majority of games help clarify who will eventually claim the 2nd seed in the East.

York, Waterloo and TMU all sit at 3-7 following week 3, and all three teams will need strong performances next week to stay in the playoff mix. TMU and York meet four times, while Waterloo has a tough challenge having to play U of Toronto four times.

In the West, McMaster earned a huge win Sunday to knock the Mustangs from Western out of the undefeated ranks. Western however still has a comfortable lead in the division over Laurier and Windsor.

Guelph, McMaster and Brock are all still on the hunt for the post-season and will need strong upcoming weeks to secure a spot. The teams play each other several times to close out the season and these matches could decide the final position in the west.
