It’s Friday and we have OUS games taking place under the lights tonight with two series from the Eastern division taking centre stage. Here are the game previews for Friday. Come on out and support these clubs tonight in Waterloo and Toronto.
Toronto (10-0) vs Waterloo (3-7)
The Varsity Blues have made it through the first half of their schedule with no defeats. Toronto had to fight this past Sunday to keep the steak going, as the Gee Gee’s played them tough in both ends of the double-header. Tonight Toronto heads down the 401 to play the Waterloo Warriors. Waterloo won both games in their only series last week, to end the week in a tie for 4th place. Toronto has a nice lead in the East, but expect the same hard hitting line-up tonight at Waterloo Park, as Toronto looks to keep their streak going. This is the first of four games between the clubs this weekend, as they will meet again Sunday in Toronto.
York (3-7) vs TMU (3-7)
A sweep for either the Lions or the Bold likely puts them into sole possession of the final playoff spot in the East after play Friday, but a sweep won’t be easy as these two teams are both capable of performing at a high level. York’s offense was on point last week, and remains the teams strength. TMU had a light week 3 only playing two games, so they will be keen to get back in the win column this evening at Hendon Park. Similar to the series above these two teams will meet again Sunday, in the second double-header between the two schools hosted Sunday by TMU.
