Just like that the opening weekend of the 2025 OUS season is complete. All 12 teams in the league have already made it the winning column, which really shows just how competitive the league has become. For those lucky enough to had a chance to check out some game action, it’s also safe to say that the quality of ball being played has also really turned up a level or two this season! So many awesome plays, performances and events over the first three days of play! Wow!

In the Eastern Division the defending champion Varsity Blues picked up right where they left things in 2024 with two sweeps of play Saturday/Sunday. Toronto took care of TMU Saturday, and then hosted Ottawa Sunday. Queen’s finished the weekend with 3 wins, to trail by a game after the first week. York rebounded from a sweep Saturday, and earned one of their own Sunday in Waterloo, to sit 3rd. The final three teams in the East are all in the win column with one.

Western has an early one game lead on Guelph following week 1 play in the West. Western earned two series sweeps on the road, winning Saturday at Laurier, and Sunday at Brock. Western returns to action this coming weekend, to host their home opener against those same Badgers Saturday. Guelph sits second in the West, following a 3-1 start to their campaign. A close 2-0 loss to Windsor Sunday is the only mark on a great weekend for the Gryphons. Laurier, Windsor and Brock have each won 2 games, Laurier sits in 3rd however as they have two fewer in the loss column. McMaster earned their first win of the season Saturday in a home win over Windsor.
