Week 2 Recap

Eastern Division

Toronto earned two wins Saturday over the York Lions to remain perfect on the season after two weeks of play. Toronto sits at 6-0 and leads Queen’s who are in 2nd place with a 6-2 record. Queen’s used strong pitching from Maddy Hickingbottom over the weekend to go 3-1 in home series dates vs TMU and Waterloo. Ottawa has battled back to the .500 mark, following a 3-1 home stand over TMU and Waterloo. The battle for playoffs will continue to get heated this weekend with a number of series involving the 3rd to 6th place teams in the East.

Western Division

Western has hung tough through the first two weeks in the West, and secured a perfect 8-0 record on the season. Western leads Windsor by 2 games, and also has two games in hand. Windsor rallied at home this weekend with two sweeps and now sits in a nice 6-4 spot after 10 games. Windsor and Brock have just two games on the schedule this week coming up. Laurier is in 3rd place after week 2, going 3-1 this past weekend. Guelph, McMaster and Brock are all fighting for the 4th place position right now… and the upcoming week should make things a bit clearer for positions heading into the final playoff push.
