Week 3 Recap

Another weekend of rain free weather meant that a big weekend of play in the OUS went off without a hitch. We have been blessed with great weather so far this season! Fingers crossed we can get through the next few weeks and not miss one exciting day of game action.

Western earned a two-game sweep over Windsor Saturday afternoon, to strengthen their position on top of the Western Division. The Mustangs are now a perfect 12-0 as they head into week 4. That is good for a full four game lead over 2nd place Windsor. Brock went 5-1 over the weekend, and is now sitting at 10-4, ahead of their toughest part of the schedule. Laurier is 8-6 and that is good enough for the 4th and final playoff spot, Waterloo and Guelph are still on the chase.

In the Eastern Division, a 6-0 performance from the U of T Varsity Blues has them on top of the division heading into week 4. Ottawa is 3-games back, and Queen’s is 4-games back. Meanwhile TMU has the 4th spot secure, and if CU Fastpitch or York don’t get hot, will keep that position secured.
