The 20222 OUS Champions are excited about the 2023 season. Last year coach Shawn Trudeau led the Gaels to a solid record in the regular season, and then a huge win in the Championship Tournament to claim the OUS title from the perennial winners from Western University. Now the word is out, Queen’s is a very talented team, and they’re looking to return once again to the OUS Championship.
Queen’s plays home games at Garrigan Park in Kingston, and this year will have former player Lauren Kennedy on the bench as a new assistant coach. “Having Lauren with us this year will be a nice addition, she brings a tone of OUS experience with her, and she can help our new players navigate the fall OUS season, and what it means to be a student athlete here in Kingston.”

The Gaels are returning 11 players from the Championship squad. Incoming new players to the program include:
- Abigail Poland from Whitby and taking Bachelor of Science honours degree,
- Madeline Villeneuve from Whitby taking Arts and Science,
- Hannah Arsenault from Etobicoke taking Psychology
With the successful 2022 run, the Gaels will also be heading to the Canadian Championships this year in Victoria. Queen’s is set to open their title defense at home in week #1 with dates vs the Western Mustangs on Saturday September 9th, and then the Windsor Lancers on Sunday the 10th.
